Blessington Street basin, a hidden park in the heart of Dublin

Whatever you want a place to take a walk or sit and read a book or even have a chat with a friend, you should pay a visit to Blessington Street Basin. The park links two neighborhoods; its entrance is at Blessington Street, Dublin 1 or North Circular Road, Dublin 7.

“It’s like being in Narnia, I came from North Circular and suddenly I’m here seeing all these beautiful birds in this lovely park”, said a person by referring to the book the Chronicles of Narnia.

And I certainly agree with him; it is like crossing a portal to another place, so peaceful.

You will be surprised with the beauty of the swans and birds swimming all around the little lake, while the sun can help you to take some nice photos.

The opening hours varies depending on the month of the year, during the summer it will be opened until 11pm, while in winter time it closes at 4:30pm.

I’m a procurement specialist by professional, a PR by graduation, a financial analyst by current occupation, and a Journalism and PR masters student, who has crossed the ocean following the dream of learning a new language and a new culture. And after seven years of living in this beautiful city, having accomplished so many goals, I’ve decided that it was time to develop my skills, challenge myself and bring my knowledge to another level. This blog is to show some of my academic work during the time of the course, but also a place where I can write about the things I’m passionate about, like music, sports, landscapes and good places to relax and enjoy the view.
